Abstract

Nouveaux procédés de préparation de corps autoporteurs et nouveaux produits ainsi fabriqués. Dans ces aspects plus spécifiques, cette invention concerne des procédés de production de corps autoporteurs ayant une porosité régulée et des propriétés classées, et comprenant un ou plusieurs composés contenant du bore, par exemple, un borure ou un borure et un carbure. Le procédé consiste, dans un mode de réalisation, à faire réagir un métal de base en poudre, sous forme fondue, avec un lit ou une masse comprenant une matière donneuse de bore et une matière donneuse de carbone (par exemple, du carbure de bore) et, facultativement, une ou plusieurs matières de remplissage inertes, afin de former le corps. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, on fait réagir à la fois un métal de base en poudre et un corps ou un bain de métal de base fondu avec un lit ou une masse comprenant une matière donneuse de bore et une matière donneuse de carbone (par exemple, du carbure de bore) et, facultativement, une ou plusieurs matières de remplissage inertes afin de produire un effet de gradation dans le corps obtenu. De plus, on peut mélanger des additifs combustibles (par exemple, de la gélatine, de l'amidon de céréale, de la cire, etc.) avec le lit ou la masse comprenant, par exemple, une matière de carbure de bore afin d'aider à la production et à la régulation de la porosité.
