If not made from manufactured quilted fabric, band 4 may have a layer of washable insulating material, such as THERMAL LAMB*, positioned between the layers of fabric and stitched to the two-ply washable fabric. This treatment gives a quilted appearance to the band 4 and keeps the insulated layer from bunching up when laundered. This insulated layer aside from providing extra warmth to the user, gives the band 4 a soft padding.

Abstract

Dispositif de retenue (1) servant à limiter le mouvement du corps pour, par exemple, retenir le corps sur l'un de ses côtés ou en position droite ou limiter le mouvement d'un membre seulement. Un coussinet doux (2), au moins, contenant une matière dense en granules, est placé contre le corps ou le membre à retenir. Selon un aspect de l'invention, on utilise une bande de liaison large (4) entre deux coussinets dous (2) pour les maintenir placés contre le corps. Selon un autre aspect de l'invention, des sangles (12) appartenant à un seul coussinet (2') maintiennent le membre à retenir contre le coussinet (2').
