Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un appareil servant à vérifier l'intégrité des données contenues dans une grande base de données. Les exigences relatives aux valeurs des données sont représentées par des enregistrements descripteurs de données ayant le même format que les enregistrements de données. Ces exigences se composent d'exigences internes aux enregistrements, d'exigences entre les enregistrements et d'exigances conditionnelles, c'est-à-dire d'exigences qui dépendent de la satisfaction d'une certaine condition, telle qu'une valeur particulière des données. Ces enregistrements descripteurs sont transformés directement par compilation en un code exécutable, qui à son tour permet de tester chaque enregistrement de la base de données afin de tester la conformité de chaque enregistrement avec les exigences spécifiées. Ce code peut être soit compilé à la volée pour tester des enregistrements particuliers soit compilé en différé et appelé selon les besoins. Les mêmes outils utilisés pour traiter les enregistrements d'une base de données déterminée peuvent être utilisés pour créer, modifier et effacer les enregistrements descripteurs d'exigences, qui peuvent par conséquent faire partie de la même base de données.
