Abstract

An apparatus for introducing a wire-towing rope used for inserting a cable or the like in a protection pipe and an apparatus for draining water in which, when the apparatus for introducing the wire-towing rope is used, water driplets adhered to the inner wall of the protection pipe and water staying in the bent portions of the pipe are collected by a plug of the apparatus for introducing the wire-towing rope and are drained. The apparatus for introducing the wire-towing rope comprises a wire-towing rope introducing fitting (11) which consists of a shaft (14) having at its one end a coupling portion of the wire-towing rope (13) and a plug (15) attached to said shaft and which can move through a protection pipe (12), and a vacuum generating apparatus (7) provided at the other end of said pipe. The apparatus for draining water when the apparatus for introducing the wire-towing rope is in operation, comprises a pipe coupling portion (32) coupled to an end of the protection pipe (12), a drain pipe (35) that extends from the pipe coupling portion and is bent downwardly, a suction pipe (34) which is upwardly branched from said pipe coupling portion, and a valve (36) provided at the lower end of said drain pipe to move up and down owing to the hydraulic pressure and vacuum action in order to open and close the drain pipe.
