Abstract
Un capteur (12) de collision pour automobiles du type comportant une boule (20) se déplaçant contre un milieu d'amortissement visqueux dans un tube fermé (24, 124, 224) comprend un transistor de puissance (150) destiné à couper le courant dans le circuit d'allumage (14, 19, 219). Un circuit (220, 228) de détection de résistance permet au capteur de collision de contrôler un changement dans la résistance du circuit d'allumage. Dans un mode réalisation un type de message simple élimine la nécessité pour le capteur de collison d'avoir plus de deux fils (158, 232). Un circuit de verrouillage (170) maintient le commutateur dans son état fermé après la fermeture initiale. La petite taille de la boule permet l'utilisation d'un tube plastique ou en aluminium. Le tube peut avoir des parois nervurées formant des canaux d'air (66, 166, 266) conduisant de manière visqueuse une grande partie de l'air déplacé lorsque la boule se déplace. La petite boule et les composants électroniques permettent des contacts simples (20, 32, 34). La combinaison de ces éléments constitue un système (400) de détection et de diagnostic de collision d'un coût bien inférieur à celui des systèmes connus.
