Abstract

The device consists of a sleeve (A), with a form similar to a parallelepipedon approximately, made by molding of not very rigid plastic materials of a known type, said sleeve being open on one of its sides (B2) whereinto the shank of a razor shall be inserted, thanks to the small pressure. On the opposite face to the open side (B2) of said sleeve (A), the first letters of the week days and/or the numbers from one to seven are printed; under each letter and/or number there is a notch (Q) engraved, able to retain a slider (C) which, after every use, shall be displaced to the next notch.

Description

USE MARKING DEVICE FOR SHAVING RAZOR
The invention concerns a device which can be set on a razor with interchangeable blade, or to a razor with incorporated blade of the type to be thrown away after full use, such device being suitable to determine both the day and the number of time one has made use of the shaving tool.
Obviously the device can be set also on other types of razors, such as the professional ones, used by the barbers.
It is well known that, very frequently, one sees just at the moment of shaving, that the razor's blade does not shave well because it is too worn due to the use; if one has no spare razors or blades, there is nothing else to do than to abstain from shaving or to risk some skin irritations, due to the higher pressure one must give in order to obtain that an already worn blade can anyway shave.
The purpose of this invention is to completely cancel the above described negative facts. This purpose is attained by means of the device according to the invention, consisting of a container, a parallelepipedon approximately, made by molding some not very rigid plastic materials of a known type, such container being open on one side in order to consent theputting in of the razors shank, thanks to a little pressure. The above mentioned container can be separated from the razor's shank, but anyway, once it has been inserted into the container, both elements form one body, i.e. the container and the inserted shank, and moreover, on the opposite face with reference to the open side of the mentioned container, there are the first letters of the week days and/or some numbers from 1 to seven, all duly printed: under each number and/or letter there is a notch engraved, able to retain a slider which, after each use of the razor, shall be displaced to the following notch. The above mentioned slider is made of a soft plastic material, and shall be easily displaced by hand from one notch to another according to the days and the shavings made.
The advantage given by the device according to the invention consists of the fact that, once one has ascertained by experiments which is the ideal number of uses for that type of blade or double blade, with reference to the individual type of beard, there is no more a risk of irritation to the skin, due unintentionally to the blade wear.
The invention is explained more in detail in the following pages with the help of the drawings which represent some examples of implementation.
The Figure 1 represents, in an isometric view, the container which can be applied on the razor's shank, seen from the open side.
The Figure 2 represents the isometric view of the slider.
The Figure 3 represents, in a prospectic view, a modified form of the device, referring to a razor of the throw-away type, whoese shank is inserted by construction into the container, which is provided with its slider.
The figures prepresent an use-indicating device for a shaving razor, compising essentially the container (A), which is open on top in (B1) and on a side thereof in (B2), in order to locate with a small pressure "the razor's shank; it is provided with the following superposed vertical flats (P), which are separated from one another by means of the grooves or horizontal notches (Q), and where one can see engraved, on the surface opposed to the above mentioned side opening (B2), in a vertical order, the first letters D-L-M-M-G-V-S of the week days and/or the numbers 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, corresponding to the number of shavings one has made.
Each one of these notches (Q) presents the feature to retain the slider (C), a square form ring which otherwise can correspond, as a general rule, to the outside structure of the above mentioned container (A) in such a way that, this slider, according to the manual displacement of it on the subsequent notches, shall give an indication about the number of shavings performed.
In the amendment of the device according to the Figure 3, it is foreseen in the invention that, when producing the razor(R) of the type to be thrown away after being worn out, by means of injection molding of some cast plastic material, on a face of the shank are engraved the first letters of the week days D-L- M-M-G-V-S and/or some numbers 1-2-3-4-5-6-7. Beside to the above there are some small swellings with parallelepipedal, cylindric or some different form and with such a cross section that, according to the hardness and strength of the type of plastic material used, they can be separated one after the other by exerting a little pressure with the fingers.
By disconnecting the swelling which is near to the number and/or the corresponding day, the user shall determine both in which days of the week he has made use of the razor, and also the number of times he has made use of it.
In a further possible variation of this invention, the device can be made separately on a label to stick later on the razor and/or on its container. It is obvious that the device according to this invention, since it is suitable to remember every day the use already made of the blade and of the razor, if from one side causes a greater consumption by the user, on the other side it offers him a much more important advantage, of a more correct use of the tool, his razor.
Of course, it being understood the principle of the invention, the forms for carrying it out and the details of it can be largely varied with reference to whatever has been here described and shown, without coming out from the limits of the instant invention.

Claims

1. Device marking the use of a shaving razor, suitable to identify the days and/or the number of shavings performed, characterized by:
- a container (A) open on top (in B1) and on a side of same (in B2), to place into it under pressure the shank of a razor, and provided with superposed vertical flat segments (P), separated by horizontal notches or grooves (Q), whereon there are printed, on the surface in opposition to said, opening on the side (B2), in a vertical sequence, the first letters of the week days and/or the numbers 1-2-3-4-5-6-7, corresponding to the number of shavings made;
- a slider (C) of a soft plastic material in a ring form of a square shape, or in general, corresponding to the outside form of the above mentioned container (A), suitable to be manually displaced in the above mentioned subsequent notches (Q), which keep the above mentioned slider fast, in such a way to give an indication of the number of shavings.
2. Use-marking device according to the claim 1, characterized in that it is made jointly with the razor itself, on whose shank there are printed the first letters of the week days and/or the numbers 1-2-3-4-5- 6-7, corresponding to the shavigns made.
3. Use-marking device according to the claim 1, characterized by the presence of small swellings which can be removed with a small pressure, placed beside the corresponding number and/or day, in order to indicate the dates and the number of shavings.
4. Use-marking device according to the above claims, characterized by being structured in a label which can be stuck on the razor and/or its container by glueing or similar operation.
