Scissor-type shears composed of two parts hinged at an intermediate point (3) of new version lever (1, 2) with function of leverage and blades (1'', 2'') having the function of resistance, in which the respective blades (1'', 2'') present the cutting edge misaligned with the respective rotation pin.

Description

Blade shears with relative sliding.
The subject of this invention is a blade shear with relative slide of the blades against each other. Shears with cutting blades with relative slide of the blades against each other are already known in the present state of art. However, they are of a specific type and have essentially pruning functions in agriculture.
The scope of this invention is to realize cutting shears which integrate the function of the traditional shears and which are able to carry out a cutting function that traditional shears are unable to do, particularly for the cutting of special materials and, above all, flat parts or cuts in areas of difficult access.
According to the characteristics given in the attached claims, this invention solves the problem by realizing scissor-type shears whose cutting blades are misaligned in respect to the respective handles which substitute the eyelets of the traditional pair of scissors, thereby determining an essentially "Z" shape which is more or less open in form.
A relative slide is thus obtained between the respective cutting blades which favours the shearing action.
Furthermore, the respective cutting edges are conveniently serrated in order to prevent eventual slipping of the product to be cut.
This solution has the advantage of being able to cut materials which are difficult and also of a certain consistency. This is something which would be impossible to do with traditional shears.
In another form of realization the shears are realized by two sole parts of blank, cold-rolled plate which do not require particular, complicated workings to realize the respective handles. In this case, the handles are obtained by simply turning back the corresponding outside edge of the plate.
The respective blades will be conveniently and eventually kept apart by a spring, for example, helically wound round the respective rotation pin.
Furthermore, the counter blade can be double instead of being single, as in the traditional shears. That is to say, composed of two parallel blades spaced apart by the thickness of the cutting blade so that this can pass closely between them. A safer cutting action is thus obtained as the blade is "guided" between the respective counter blades.
It is convenient that the counter blade is the lower one. It is possible to work better with this solution, for example, to be able to cut sheets without deviations.
The invention is hereafter explained in more detail with the help of the drawings showing the preferential solutions for realization, the execution detail of which are not to be held as limiting but only as examples. Figure 1 shows one of the possible forms of realization of the shears as per the invention.
Figure 2 schematically shows the shearing system- and visualizes an alternative way of cutting by twin counter blades so that the cutting blade may insert itself between them.
As can be seen from the above-mentioned figures, the shears or more properly, the scissors according to the traditional technique are composed of two elements (1,2) hinged at an intermediate point (3) so as to realize a new version of lever shears in which the handle (1',2') represents the leverage part whereas the blades (V,2") represent the resistance as the fulcrum (3) is in an intermediate position. The innovative characteristic derives from the fact that:
- the respective cutting edge of the respective blades is not oriented radially in respect to the point of rotation but angled in such a way that the cutting action also involves a relative sliding of the respective cutting edges of the same blades;
- the corresponding cutting edges are serrated. One of the two cutting edges is conveniently realized with saw teeth so as to prevent the cut material being shifted by the relative sliding of the blades in a blunt area. It will be noted that the scissors may conveniently bear a spring for self-opening (4). A means of hanging up the shears when closed may obviously be foreseen such as, for example, a hook or similar means realized on the respective handles. This means is not illustrated but is easily imaginable. It will be noted that the "2" shape thus conceived determines a transmission system of force similar to a man's jaw with the characteristic that the respective blade is angled in respect to the part which connects it to the pivoting point.
It can be noted that the cutting counter blade (2") may also be double, that is to say it realizes a sort of pocket so that the cutting blade (1 ") passes closely between the pair of counter blades which, for this scope, have the corresponding thickness of the cutting blade between them. In this way the cut will be further assured both for cutting and for an eventual tearing movement.
It will be further noted that if this type of counter blade is not tightly closed, the shears can also act as pincers.

Claims

1. Scissor-type shears involving two parts hinged at an intermediate point (3) of first version lever (1 ,2) with handles (1\2') having a leverage function and blade's (1",2") having a resistance function, characterized by the fact that the respective blades (1",2") present the cutting edge misaligned with the respective rotation pin.
2. Shears, as per claim 1 , characterized by the fact that the respective cutting blades (1",2") are angled in respect to the part that connects them to the corresponding hinging point, realizing an essentially "Z" shape with the handle, more or less open in form.
3. Shears, as per claim 1 , characterized by the fact that the respective cutting edges of the scissor-working blades (1",2") are serrated.
4. Shears, as per claim 1 , characterized by the fact that at least one of the two cutting edges of the respective scissor-working blades is realized with saw teeth (2") .
5. Shears, as per claim 1 , characterized by the fact that the respective cutting counter blade (2") is realized with two parallel blades spaced apart by a value equal to the thickness of the cutting blade (1") so that the cutting action is effected when the cutting blade is inserted between the counter blades.
6. Shears, as per claim 1 , characterized by the fact that the said cutting counter blade (2") is realized with two parallel blades spaced apart by a value equal to the thickness of the cutting blade (1") so that the cutting action is effected when the latter is inserted between the counter blades, these being underneath the cutting blade {1 ").
