Further there is a third group of keys 10 intended for input of various functions and also a fourth group of keys 11 intended for input of which specific partial area of the tooth that the actual recording re ers to.

  • Pocket- depth can be read on a grading 15 -on a pocket probe 16.
  • the pocket probe 16 may be designed to directly read the pocket depth and transfer the measured value to the handheld device 1 by a wire 17.
  • the last figure of measuring data has been fed the entire observation, displayed in the window 4, is automatically transferred to- device 2 to get a recording and a transcript on a paper 18 after an adequate processing in device 2.
  • a key for statistical operations can be arranged on device 1 or device 2. Such a key is not shown here since statistical operations usually are carried out automatically by either device 1 or device 2.
