Abstract

Un compresseur à vis tournante comprend un rotor mâle (2) et un rotor femelle (3) présentant des rainures s'engrenant mutuellement et s'étendant hélicoïdalement. Les extrémités des rotors sont pourvues de tourillons d'arbres servant à tourillonner les rotors. Afin d'éviter d'avoir recours à des joints d'étanchéité d'arbre autour des tourillons d'arbre (4, 5) au niveau de l'extrémité sous haute pression on conçoit les rotors de façon à produire un effet d'étanchéité entre les surfaces d'extrémité de rotors (8, 9) et la paroi d'extrémité sous haute pression (10), des rainures de rotors peu profondes et des tourillons d'arbre (4, 5) fusiformes rendant possible un tel effet.
