  • the mounting panel 2 is provided with a horizontal rule 21 on its upper face and with a vertical rule 22 on its underface. Both of the rules are calibrated in a millimetre scale which begins at both ends of each of the rules.

  • the horizontal rule 21 passes with a play of 2 millimetres above the translucent paper sheet which is used as a carrier 1 in the same manner as a mount. In order to pass easily across the printed matter which is mounted on the paper sheet, the edges of the rule 21 are bevelled.
  • edge strip 26 which runs about the entire edge of the underface of the mounting panel 2. This edge strip 26 is designed with slightly greater thickness than the vertical rule 22.
  • each half field of the uppper face of the mounting panel 2 is provided with a grid- work of ditchlike grooves 27. These are mutually interconnected and are connected to a passage 28 in the mounting panel 2.
  • the passage 28 extends out to one edge of the mounting panel where a connection member 29 for a vacuum hose may be coupled.
  • the points of intersection of the grooves are made in the form of round recesses 30 in order to provide better adhesive suction of the translucent paper sheet for the rrounting.

  • the mounting table according to the present invention en ⁇ sures, as compared with prior Art mounting tables, a higher degree of accuracy and a shorter time input requirement. This makes for enormous savings in reduced work time and a reduction in waste paper in newspaper printing, apart fron the above indicated savings which are made since no pre-printed mounts are necessary.
