Abstract

A system of shelving with the following advantages: rigidity of the horizontal components, fixing of the right angle, rapid assembly and disassembly, extensibility, unexpensive construction principle, utilization as space separation, additional usable shelving surfaces, storage of even the smallest parts and good support for books. To this end, the invention calls for the following arrangement: horizontal panels (1) are equipped with longitudinal supports (3); the latter, together with the former, protrude beyond vertical panels (2), to thus enable an interlocking assembly (notches (4) etc.) at the contact points with the vertical panels (2).

The invention relates to a shelf furniture system on which horizontal panels protrude above vertical panels in the longitudinal direction.

On such a shelf there are additional storage options, even if the areas between the vertical plates are completely filled with books, for example. The use of "plates" (in the opposite to strips or grates) enables the storage of the smallest objects for the horizontal parts, for example for books with the vertical parts.

Basically, there are several problems with the design of a shelf furniture system:

- deflection of the horizontal elements under load;

- fixing the right angle; - Highest possible mobility (quick assembly and disassembly);

- extensibility;

- cheap construction principle;

- Can be used as a room divider;

The known shelf furniture systems, however, consistently have disadvantages in the relationships listed above. For example, glued or screwed systems have low mobility, the horizontal elements bend in most systems, or systems fixed at right angles by means of rear walls or diagonal braces are not to be used as room dividers.

The invention has for its object to solve the problems listed above in their entirety and at the same time the advantages described above by using over standing plates, as well as "plates" in general.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by the characterizing part of claim 1. Further refinements are set out in claims 2 and 3.

The advantages that can be achieved by the invention are:

- Minimal deflection of the horizontal elements. This results from the side members. Board thicknesses can be kept very small.

- Fixation of the right angle. The overall height of the side members makes it possible at the contact points with the vertical plates.

- High mobility. It is given by the simple plug connection. The shelf can be broken down into individual panels.

- extensibility. With the construction according to the invention, a new element with vertical elements can always be placed on a horizontal element. Each unit is fixed at right angles.

- Cheap construction principle. No complicated fittings or operations are required. Simply arranging the simplest elements creates the beneficial effects. - Use as a room divider. The shelf does not have to on the

An embodiment of the invention is illustrated in the drawing and explained in the following. FIG. 1 shows an oblique view from below. Horizontal plates (1) protrude from vertical ones (2). Under the horizontal plates are longitudinal beams (3), which protrude with the horizontal plates above the vertical ones and significantly increase the bending stiffness of the horizontal plates, and - explained in more detail under Fig.2 enable pluggable fixation of the right angle. Here is an embodiment of the invention is shown, in which a longitudinal member (3) according to claim 1 at the contact point to the vertical plate contains a slot (4). This is a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention. It enables a simple plug-in connection as described in Fig. 2 and best protects the horizontal elements against bending (in the opposite to a beam at the edge). The horizontal plates are also according to claim 3 in the transverse direction beyond vertical. This means material savings for the vertical panels.
