Abstract
Bellows rubber hose having all the outer peripheral surface thereof constituted by a smooth surface and a method of manufacturing the bellows rubber hose. A typical conventional bellows rubber hose can be manufactured only by a split-mold method, which unavoidably involves a parting line formed on the outer peripheral surface thereof. The conventional bellows rubber hose is, therefore, neither strong nor attractive. In the method of the present invention, only a mandrel is employed which serves as an inner mold having a hollow inside and small bores for providing communication between the inside and the outside air. An unvulcanized rubber hose is fitted on the outer periphery of the mandrel and is then vulcanized. During the vulcanization, the pressure in the hollow portion is made lower than the outside pressure, whereby the rubber hose is brought into close contact with the mandrel such as to be formed into a desired shape. This method makes it possible to form not only a bellows rubber hose having a single layer but also one having a plurality of layers. The bellows rubber hose of the invention is both strong and attractive and is therefore suitably employed as, for example, a conduit for guiding various kinds of fluid.

The present invention provides a bellows rubber hose and a bellows rubber hose which are formed with a smooth outer surface, have a strength of 5 and are excellent in appearance, and are suitable for use as a conduit for various fluids. It concerns the manufacturing method. Conventionally, 10 rubber hoses with irregularities on the outer surface, such as bellows, cannot be extruded, so a split mold method was used.
In other words, as shown in Fig. 4, a mold having the required shape was formed by the upper mold 2 and the lower mold 3 outside the core 1, and rubber was pressed into the gap 4.

At the same time, the aesthetic appearance was impaired, and it was a manufacturing and functional neck.
In order to improve this, as shown in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 53-126083, a mold is used only as an outer mold, and a rubber hose before molding is first fitted inside the mold.
25 When the inside of the mold is pressurized and molded In both cases, when removing the product from the mold, a method has been proposed in which the product is contracted by applying a negative pressure to the inside of the hose and then pulled out from one end of the mold.
However, even if the product itself is reduced, the strength of each part is not constant, so it is impossible to reduce it uniformly, and it is only a flat shape at best. Furthermore, since it is necessary to pull this out of the outer mold, the shape of the product itself that can be formed is naturally limited, and the degree of unevenness is very high like a bellows hose, and The most frequent could not be formed.
In addition, if simply using an unvulcanized rubber hose to make it spiral, it would not be possible to wrap it with a cord or the like corresponding to the helical pitch around the hose and vulcanize it. It is time-consuming and impractical, and there is a limit to the difference in irregularities that can be formed. In particular, if the bellows-like shape is formed by adding abacus balls to increase flexibility, the strings must be tied at every pitch, and as a result, the difference in ΕΙ に もMisalignment occurred, and in fact it was impossible.
Thus, the present invention provides a bellows rubber hose that does not have such a problem and a method for manufacturing the same.

The burr part, that is, has no parting line, and is formed by a completely smooth surface.
This eliminates the strength and aesthetic disadvantages of this vertical line.

Furthermore, the present invention provides a bellows portion on the outer periphery of the mandrel, a hollow portion inside the mandrel, and a number of holes communicating with the hollow portion and the outside in the bellows portion of the mandrel. And a non-vulcanized rubber hose having a straight cylindrical shape is externally fitted around the outer periphery of the mandrel, and the inside of the hollow portion of the mandrel is set to a lower pressure than the outside under vulcanization conditions. There is also provided a method for producing a bellows rubber hose, wherein the rubber hose is formed in a bellows-like shape along the outer peripheral shape of the mandrel.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION Hereinafter, specific embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Figures 1 and 2 are partial cross-sectional views showing the relationship between the mandrel and the rubber hose when the rubber hose has a single layer and a multi-layer, respectively. The barrel 6 has a hollow portion 7 inside, and the hollow portion 7 and the outside (outside air) can be freely communicated via a plug 8 inserted into a wall at one end. In addition, on the outer periphery of the mandrel 6, straight cylindrical portions 9 and 9 are formed on both sides, and a bellows portion 10 (not a continuous spiral shape) shaped like an abacus ball is added to the center. However, of course, there is no problem even if it is spiral spiral).
A large number of small-diameter holes 11 are formed radially in the bellows portion 10, particularly in the valley portion and the straight cylindrical portions 9, 9, and the hollow portion 7 and the outside are formed. Make sure that air can be communicated.
FIG. 3 is a partial cross-sectional view showing a state in which an unvulcanized straight-cylindrical rubber hose 12 extruded and formed from the mandrel 6 is extrapolated from one side thereof. Then, the inside of both ends of the rubber hose 12 and the straight cylindrical parts 9 and 9 of the mandrel 6 are sealed.
In this sealing method, as described later, since the pressure in the hollow portion 7 is made lower than the outside pressure, the rubber hose 12 is completely adhered to the mandrel 6 without any special method. However, in order to provide a more complete seal, an appropriate band 13, 13 is wound around the outer circumference of both ends of the rubber hose 12, or an appropriate sealant is applied between the two 9, 12. Can be considered.
After the above operation is completed, this is placed inside a vulcanizing can, ripened to a predetermined temperature, and the air pressure in the hollow part 7 of the mandrel 6 is adjusted to be lower than that of the outside.
In this operation, the outside is set to atmospheric pressure and the air in the hollow part 7 is evacuated by a vacuum pump or the like, or positive or eclipse pressure is applied to the outside and the hollow part 7 內, respectively. Various cases are conceivable, such as one in which the air pressure in the part 7 is set smaller than that of the outside.
For such an operation, a hose or a vibe connected to an appropriate air source should be connected to the plug 8 described above.
When the air in the hollow part 7 becomes lower than the outside air pressure, the pressure between the rubber hose 12 and the outer periphery of the mandrel 6 also decreases because the holes 11 1 'are present. It is formed to conform to the contours of the bellows part 10 and the straight cylindrical parts 9, 9 of the mandrel 6, and is cured and stabilized by the vulcanizing operation during this time. Next, after the vulcanization, when the bellows rubber foam "" 14 thus formed is pulled out of the mandrel 6, the air is again injected from the plug 8 or the like, and the air is discharged through the holes 11 ·. Through the mandrel 6 and inflate the bellows rubber hose 14 outward. At this time. Loosen one sealing means and pull it to one side, it will come off easily.
As described above, the bellows rubber hose 14, which is a product, is composed of a matte smooth surface having no parting line on its outer peripheral surface. It does not cause rupture, cracks or other situations.
Furthermore, the following advantages can be obtained as compared with those described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 53-126083.
In other words, a bellows-like thing with a large degree of unevenness could not be pulled out well because even if it was reduced and tried to be pulled out from its outer mold, it did not shrink uniformly, but as in the present invention,內 If the mandrel 6 is fitted around the outer periphery of the mandrel 6, it can be uniformly inflated by sufficiently increasing the air pressure in the hollow portion 7 and can be removed without any trouble. It is.
In addition, if only the inner mold mandrel 6 is used, the space is smaller than that of the outer mold only, and a large number of pieces can be placed in a vulcanizing can. In addition, the heating effect is high because the hot air can be applied directly when heating.
