Abstract

A device for pressing geophysical devices against the wall of a bore hole comprises a casing (1) in which are fixed two electromagnetic coils (2, 12) with a movable core (3) mounted on a rod (4). One of the coils (2) is intended for generating a force for displacement of the core (3) whereas another coil serves for generating a force stroke of the core (3) against a wedge (7). The rod (4) carries as well a pressing unit (6) comprising the wedge (7) fixed rigidly on the rod (4) and a thrust element (8) which is placed in an opening (9) made in the casing (1) so that it interacts with one side with the edge (7) and with its other side with the wall (10) of the bore hole when pressing a geophysical device (11). The device may be preferably used for pressing against the walls of bore holes various geophysical devices for examination of rocks.
