Abstract
Foil holders consist of up to three different parts and can serve for attachment of one or two layers of foil. Through the use of a foil holder which is at one end, the first end, designed for attachement to a wall and at the other end designed to serve for attachment of foil (17) at a certain distance from the wall, this other (second) end being provided with a projecting screw stud (15) designed to engage a threaded hole with thread parts (13, 14) in the first end, several foil layers (17) could be attached by means of a few accessory parts.
Description
FOIL HOLDER FOR RELEASABLE ATTACMENT OF FOIL PARALLEL TO A SUPPORT AND TOOLING FOR MANUFACTURE OF THE FOIL HOLDER.
The invention relates to a foil holder which is at one end, called the first end, provided with means for at¬ tachment to a support, e.g., to a wall, a ceiling, or the like, and which is at the other end designed for at¬ tachment of foil, in such a manner that the foil can hang parallel to the support, and which is at the other end provided with a projecting screw stud designed to engage a nut-part, in such a manner that the foil can be clamped between the said part and the other (second) end.
A holder of such type is known, for attachment of one or
O PI IPO
two layers of foil. The holder, with appurtenant part e.g., a nut-part, consists of up to three different parts.
The holder, according to the invention, is characteri tic in that the holder is at the first end provided with a threaded hole with one or more thread-part(s) signed to engage the threading of the screw stud.
The holder here referred to could consist of one sing part, this to be so understood that the holder could itself function as a nut-part. To this comes that it theoretically possible to build up any number of foil layers by screwing holders together end-to-end in tan fashion. In this manner a user which is in possession a given assortment of holders with appurtenant nut-pa if appropriate, could obtain a large number of combin tions, and at the same time the cost of manufacture w of course, be reduced when the number of accessory pa is reduced.
The holder may be characteristic in that its cross se tion has the shape of a cross, and in that the ends a provided with end-plates. In this manner is presente a design of appropriate strength.
One embodiment of this holder can be characteristic i that thread-parts are provided in two diametrically o posite cross-flanges, only one single thread element ing provided in each flange. In this manner is prese ted a very simple design of thread which is of low co in regard to manufacture.
The holder could also be characteristic in that its c section is of annular or cylindrical shape, in that i

is provided with end-plates at the ends, and in that the thread-part, or thread-parts, project(s) inwards from the inside of the cylindrical section. In this manner is presented a design which may in certain re- spects be slightly inferior to the design with the cross-shaped cross section, on the other hand, howev¬ er, it will be possible to design the screw stud as a hollow member, and thereby can be attained a higher production rate, because the wall thickness of the hol- der will be "varying only slightly throughout. ~*
The invention relates also to a tooling or a mould for casting, e.g. pressure die-casting, of the spacing mem¬ ber, and this tooling, or this mould, is characteristic in consisting of two halves which are designed for se¬ paration along a longitudinal centre plane, a core or extractable part designed for extraction centrally in the longitudinal direction of the holder, and which is designed to fill the space outside of the thread-part or thread-parts and part of the inside space, another extractable part in one of the mould-halves with direc¬ tion of extraction parallel to the dividing plane and at right angles to the former direction of extraction and which is designed to fill the remaining space be- hind -the thread-part, or thread-parts, and a similar extractable part, if appropriate, in the other half of the mould.
The invention is explained in more detail with refer- ence to the drawings, where
Fig. 1 shows one embodiment of a holder in accord¬ ance with the invention, side-view and par¬ tial cut-away section; Fig. 2 shows a cross section along line II-II in Fig. 1;

Fig. 5 a partial cross section of the tooling in accordance with Fig. 4, along line V-V;
Fig. 6 another embodiment of a holder in accord- ance with the invention, side-view and partial cut-away section; and
Fig. 7 a cross section along line VII-VII in Fig 6.
Figs. 1 -3 can be considered in conjunction. A foil holder consists of a main part 1 and a nut-part 2. Main part 1 consists of a central part of cross shape cross section, consisting of four flanges, 3, 4, 5 an 6, and of two end-plates 7 and 8. The end-plate 7 has a corrugated surface 9 and two screw holes 10 and 11, provided with a view to screwed attachment to 'a wall (not shown) using screws (not shown) or similar means of attachment. In end-plate 9 is provided, moreover, a central hole 12, which could be said to continue in to the flanges, 3, 4, 5 and 6, where flanges 3 and 5 are each provided with one single thread-element, 13 and 14, which fit a screw stud 15 which is combined with end-plate 8, which has likewise a corrugated sur face 16, and projects from the end-plate. The nut-par 2 is screwed on this screw stud 15, in such a manner that foil material 17 is clamped between the nut 2 an the corrugated surface 16 of end-plate 8. Instead of using nut 2 it had thus been possible to use a main part 1 as a nut, i.e. , to suspend several layers of foil in succession with a spacing equal to the length of main part 1.

Figs. 4 and 5 can be considered in conjunction. A tool¬ ing or a mould consists of a top part 18 and a bottom part 19 and a core 20 and an end-part 24. The top part 18 and the bottom part 19 are designed for separation along a parting plane 21 , which is at right angles to flanges 3 and 5. Parallel to the parting plane 21 are provided extractable parts 22 and 23. These extractable parts 22 and 23 are located behind the thread parts 13 and 14, in such a manner that, together with the core 20, they fill the threaded hole formed by flanges 3, 4, 5 and 6.
Figs. 6 and 7 show an embodiment of a holder with a cy¬ lindrical shank 25, which can likewise be cast in a tooling which is, in principle, built up in the same manner as the tooling described in accordance with Figs, 4 and 5, whereby, for the parallel extractable parts, slots 26 and 27 must be provided in the cylindrical shank 25. It will then be appropriate, with a view to saving of material, to let the central core extend through the entire holder and into the screw stud 28, whereby the screw stud will be hollow.
