Abstract

Appareil centrifuge et methode utilisant l'appareil pour produire des microspheres de verre creuses et des microspheres vides en verre creuses. L'appareil centrifuge possede une pluralite d'ajutages de soufflage coaxiaux (55) disposes dans la paroi peripherique externe (20) du rotor (1). Du verre en fusion (4) est alimente dans le centrifugeur et en raison de la force centrifuge, il revet la surface de la paroi interne (20) du rotor (1) et alimente les ajutages coaxiaux (55). On alimente le centrifugeur et les ajutages de soufflage coaxiaux (55) avec un gaz de soufflage ou un gaz de soufflage de vapeur metallique. Un fluide entrainant (54) est egalement envoye dans l'appareil centrifuge ou il s ecoule au travers de celui-ci et il est dirige sur les ajutages de soufflage coaxiaux (55).
