Onrcondensingvpot we. believe to be the first to present a combination ot' the following' features, first, condensation of steam charged with aroma in the upper vessel by injection into the water ot' the., condenser and not by simple contact with a cold surface;V second, impregnation ot' the water in the. condenser with the aronta ot'the coti'ee orother substance under treatment.; third, sett-operating' discharge ot the condensed aroma and the contents ot' the. condenser into the body of the pot; t'onrth, closure otv the. vessel during,r the, operation.

To enable. others to make and use our in vention, we. will describe its construction and operation by referring` to the d rawings, in which- I v A represents thc boiler, which may be made ot' any ordinary forni, constructed with the opening,r at the top somewhat contracted, but yet sutiiciently large to pass the hand through i'or the purpose of cleanine'. On the end of' the spout is n cap or stopper, b,to prevent the escape of steam therefrom while boiling. A perforated platte or strainer,c, covers the opening ot' the spout inside the boiler.
