Abstract
A new and distinct cultivar of Mandevilla plant named ‘Inmanbochp’, characterized by its compact, upright and vining plant habit; low vigor to moderately vigorous growth habit; freely branching habit; moderately glossy dark green-colored leaves; freely flowering habit; red-colored flowers with yellow orange-colored centers; and relative tolerance to low temperatures.

Botanical designation: Mandevilla sanderi.
Cultivar denomination: ‘INMANBOCHP’.
The present invention relates to a new and distinct cultivar of Mandevilla plant, botanically known as Mandevilla sanderi and hereinafter referred to by the name ‘Inmanbochp’.
The new Mandevilla plant is a product of a planned breeding program conducted by the Inventor in Johannesburg, South Africa and Heidesheim, Germany. The objective of the breeding program is to create new freely branching Mandevilla plants that flower freely and have attractive flowers that resist fading and sun scald.
The new Mandevilla plant is a naturally-occurring whole plant mutation of Mandevilla sanderi ‘Inmanbocre’. The new Mandevilla plant was discovered and selected by the Inventor as a single flowering plant from within a population of plants of ‘Inmanbocre’ in a controlled greenhouse environment in Heidesheim, Germany in August, 2016.
Asexual reproduction of the new Mandevilla plant by vegetative cuttings in a controlled greenhouse environment in Heidesheim, Germany since August, 2016 has shown that the unique features of this new Mandevilla plant are stable and reproduced true to type in successive generations.
Plants of the new Mandevilla have not been observed under all possible combinations of environmental conditions and cultural practices. The phenotype may vary somewhat with variations in environmental conditions such as temperature and light intensity without, however, any variance in genotype.
The following traits have been repeatedly observed and are determined to be the unique characteristics of ‘Inmanbochp’. These characteristics in combination distinguish ‘Inmanbochp’ as a new and distinct Mandevilla plant:

- 1. Compact, upright and vining plant habit.
- 2. Low vigor to moderately vigorous growth habit.
- 3. Freely branching habit.
- 4. Moderately glossy dark green-colored leaves.
- 5. Freely flowering habit.
- 6. Red-colored flowers with yellow orange-colored centers.
- 7. Relatively tolerant to low temperatures.
Plants of the new Mandevilla can be compared to plants of the mutation parent, ‘Inmanbocre’. Plants of the new Mandevilla differ, primarily from plants of ‘Inmanbocre’ in flower color as plants of the new Mandevilla have red-colored flowers with yellow orange-colored centers whereas plants of ‘Inmanbocre’ have darker red-colored flowers.
Plants of the new Mandevilla can be compared to plants of Mandevilla sanderi ‘Inmanboclp’, disclosed in a U.S. Plant patent application Ser. No. 16/350,760 filed concurrently. Plants of the new Mandevilla differ primarily from plants of ‘Inmanboclp’ in flower color as plants of the new Mandevilla have red-colored flowers with yellow orange-colored centers whereas plants of ‘Inmanboclp’ have light red purple-colored flowers with darker red purple-colored venation and yellow orange-colored centers.
Plants of the new Mandevilla can also be compared to plants of Mandevilla sanderi ‘Lanarkansas’, not patented. In side-by-side comparisons plants of the new Mandevilla differ primarily from plants ‘Lanarkansas’ in the following characteristics:

- 1. Plants of the new Mandevilla are smaller than plants of ‘Lanarkansas’.
- 2. Plants of the new Mandevilla have smaller leaves than plants of ‘Lanarkansas’.
- 3. Plants of the new Mandevilla have smaller flowers than plants of ‘Lanarkansas’.
The accompanying colored photographs illustrate the overall appearance of the new Mandevilla plant showing the colors as true as it is reasonably possible to obtain in colored reproductions of this type. Colors in the photographs may differ slightly from the color values cited in the detailed botanical description which accurately describe the actual colors of the new Mandevilla plant.

The photograph on the second sheet is a close-up view of a typical flowering plant of ‘Inmanbochp’.
The aforementioned photographs and following observations, measurements and values describe plants grown during the spring and summer in 11-cm containers with wooden support frames in a glass-covered greenhouse in Heidesheim, Germany and under cultural practices typical of commercial Mandevilla production. During the production of the plants, day temperatures ranged from 20° C. to 40° C. and night temperatures ranged from 15° C. to 25° C. Plants were four months old when the photographs and description were taken. In the following description, color references are made to The Royal Horticultural Society Colour Chart, 2015 Edition, except where general terms of ordinary dictionary significance are used.

- Time to produce a rooted young plant, summer.—About 20 to 25 days at temperatures ranging from 20° C. to 35° C.
- Time to produce a rooted young plant, winter.—About 25 to 30 days at temperatures ranging from 20° C. to 25° C.
- Root description.—Thick, fleshy; typically white in color, actual color of the roots is dependent on substrate composition, water quality, fertilizers, substrate temperature and physiological age of roots.

- Temperature tolerance: Plants of the new Mandevilla have been observed to tolerate temperatures ranging from about 5° C. to about 40° C. and to be suitable for USDA Hardiness Zones 9 to 13.
