Description

Feb. 25, 1936. o. c. RlTZ-WOLLER 98,695 o COMBINED TRUCK M IRROR AND SUPPORT THEREFOR Filed Jan. 7; 1935 H 1 Ado wigs Patented Feb. 25, 1936 UNITED STATES Des. 98,695
PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A COMBINED TRUCK MIRROR AND SUPPORT THEREFOR Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, Oliver C. Ritz-Weller, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in
, the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have inented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Combined Truck Mirror and Support Therefor,
of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
In the drawing,
Fig. 1 is a front elevational view of a combined truck mirror and support therefor embodying my new design;
Fig. 2 is a rear elevational view thereof;
Fig. 3 is a side elevational view thereof; and
Fig. 4 is an end elevational view thereof.
The dominant features of my design are embodied in the back member of the mirror casing, the pedestal attached at its base to the central portion of said member, and the ball-like connection between the top of the pedestal and the supporting arm for the device. Said features, when viewed radially inwardly from the outer edge of the back member, include as a part of the back member a narrow fiat rim portion joined to a relatively much wider and gently convened main back portion which merges into a deeply concaved surface on the pedestal, the latter surface terminating in the ball-like head which is centrally split to receive between the parts thereof a flattened arm portion which at one end is rounded to correspond with the adjacent edges of the ball-like head parts and at the other end is bulged outwardly and merged into the cylindrical surfaces of the supporting arm, the outer diameter of the ball-like head being about twice that of the pedestal at its narrowest portion but approximately only one-sixth the outer diameter of the back member, and the ball-like head being spaced a distance about equal to its diameter from the lower edge of the base of the pedestal.
I claim:
The ornamental design for a combined truck mirror and support therefor substantially as shown and described.
OLIVER C. RITZ-WOLLER.
