PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A PLATE OR SIMILAR ARTICLE Application May 4, 1935, Serial No. 56,699

Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, Harry Francis Wood, Junior, a subject of the King of Great Britain, residing at Crown Works, Burslem, Stafiordshire, England, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Plate or Similar Article, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof.

Fig. 1 is a top plan View of a plate showing my new design; and

Fig. 2 is a sectional view through the plate shown in Fig. 1 taken on the line 22 thereof.

The design consists in the arrangement of concentric zones of tones or shades on the border of a plate, differing from each other and from the color of the plate with a zone of darker more distinct tone or shade around the rim portion of the plate at the outer edge of the border, and the other zones concentrically arranged inside said darker more distinct zone, said zones being separated, and concentric lines of demarkation between and within said zones defining circular bands.

The ornamental design for a plate or similar article as shown and described.
