Description

TANK VEHICLE Filed May 25, 1955 IN VEN TOR: William Wfimmm Patented Feb. 4, 1936 UNITED STATES Des. 98,471
PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A TANK VEHICLE Application May 25, 1935, Serial No. 57,012
Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, William W. Ammen, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at Wyndmoor, in the county of Montgomery and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Tank Vehicle, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
In the drawing:
Fig. I is a perspective view of a complete vehicle;
Figs. II, III, and IV are, respectively, a side elevation, an end view, and. a plan of the rear portion of the vehicle, showing my new design.
My design comprises as principal and dominant features the downward-curving top surfaces of the skirt-like lower side portions of the vehicle body at its rear, terminating in the plane of the central rear surface at an intermediate point or level in the height of the latter, and the inwardcurving lateral surfaces of these side-skirt portions, which together give a progressive narrowing of the downward-curving top surfaces of the side-skirts at the rear of the body. The rear doors with edges substantially paralleling the downward slope of the central rear end surface of the body are also an important novel feature. Rails are shown extending along the outer upper corners of the side-skirts, and are curved inward and downward at their rear ends in conformity with the shape of these corners or outer edges of the skirts.
I claim:
The ornamental design for a tank vehicle, substantially as shown and described.
WILLIAM W. AMMEN.
