PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A SET 0F PLAYING CARDS Maurice Krantz, Cleveland, and Arthur Green, Lakewood, Ohio To all whom it may concern.'
Be it known that we, MAURICE KRAN'rz and ARTHUR GREEN, citizens of the United States,
.residing at Cleveland and Lakewood, respectively, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Set of Playing Cards, of which the following is a specication, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part thereof.
In said drawing, Fig. 1 is a plan view of the face side of the king of clubs and showing our new design as applied to the four king cards, the face sides of the other three king cards, towit, the king of diamonds, the king of hearts and the king of spades, bearing the same design except for the identifying pips; Fig. 2 is a plan View of the face side of the queen of hearts and showing our new design as applied to the four queen cards, the face sides of the other three queen cards, to-wit, the queen of spades, the
queen of diamonds and the queen of clubs, bearing the same design except for the identifying pips; and Fig. 3 is a plan view of the face side of the jack of diamonds and showing our new design as applied to the four jack cards, the face sides of the other three jack cards, to-wit, the jack of hearts, the jack of spades and the jack of clubs, bearing the same design except for the identifying pips.
In accordance with our new design, each of the set of twelve picture cards has two oppositely disposed corner portions thereof available for the reception of advertising matter or the like, as indicated by the three representative cards here illustrated.
We claim:
The ornamental design for a set of playing cards, as shown and described.
