DESIGN FOR FURNACE-BRiCK.

Specification forming part of Design No. 8,947, dated February 1, 1876; application filed January 7, 1876.

Be it known that I, GORDON H. NOTT, of Hyde Park, in the county of Norfolk and Sta-tc of Massachusetts, have invented a new dnd original Design for Fnrimceliricks; and I do hereby declare that the following is n full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enabie others skilled in the art to which it pertains to make and use the sanne, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a. part ot' this specification.

This my new and original design for furnace-bricks is fully shown in the drawings, on which Figure 1 represents a. front View, Fig. 2 represents a top view, Fig. 3 represents a side view, and Fig. 4 represents a. rear view, of my invention.

The upper end of the brick is formed to a. taper, as shown in Fig. 3, end its lower end is tapered from both sides, as shown in the seine tignre. rlhe front or face of the brick is curved to the form shown in Fig. 2. The rear ci' the lower corners is inclined or tapered oil, is represented in Fig. 4.

What I wish to secure by Letters Patent, and claim, is-

'lhe new and original design for furnacehricks, es shown in the accompanying drawings, having e curved front, and tapered in their upper and lower ends, substantially as described.
