DESIGN FOR EMBROIDERY-PATTERNS.
Specification forming part of Design No. 8,902, dated January 11, 1876; application filed January 5, 1876. [Term of Patent 3% years] To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, EMIL CRISAND, of New H even, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a. new Design for Embroidery-Pattern; and do hereby dcclare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, to he a. full, clear, and exact description of the some, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent a face view.
This'invention relates to a design for embroidery-pattern, with special reference to perforated board, the object being to indicate upon the surface of the board the stitches to be taken to represent the peculiar characteristics of the pattern; and it consists of the motto Honor thy Father and thy Mother, in form as shown in the accompanying illustration. The words are arranged, Honor at the top, Father as the center, and Mother below.
The principal characteristics of the design are the capitals and the letters of the word Fatheri The words may be differently arranged without departing from the design. The pattern is ornamented by a tracer of scroll-work, as shown in the accompanying illustration.
I claim- The design for embroidery-pattern herein described, consisting of the motto Honor thy Father and thy Mother, in form as shown in the accompanying illustration.
