Be it known that I, STANTON D. SAN- SON, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for Stockings, of which the following description in connection with the accompanying drawings is a specification,

In the drawings:

Fig. 1 is a side elevation of a stocking having my new design applied to a part thereof; and

Fig. 2 is an enlarged detail of the upper portion of a stocking having the design applied thereto in part.

The design is applied to the entire stocking excepting the heel, sole and toe, and the welt, but is represented in Figs. 1 and 2 as applied to a part only of the stocking, in order to save expense.

The stocking of this application is made up of a fabric of two contrasting meshes, the lozenge-shaped elements being a closely woven or knitted fabric and the circular elements representing openings loosely woven or knitted.

The ornamental design for a stocking as shown and described.
