Specification forming part of Design No. 6,575, dated April B, 1873; application filed April 1, 1873.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JOHN HAMER, of England, now residing in the city of Lowell, county of Middlesex, and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced n new and original Design for a Pattern to be Inwrought. into Two or Three Ply, Ingrain, and other Carpeting in such colors as may be desired; and I do hereby declare that the photographie print accompanying this specification does give and convey to any one skilled in the art of carpetweavin g a. more denite and thorough description of the nature of my invention than it is in the power of language otherwise to convey, and it is sufficient to enable any one skilled in the art of carpet-weaving to use my invention.

Vhaft I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The configuration ofthe design hereunto annexed, when made'by being inwrought into two or three ply, ingrain, or other carpeting in the form similar to the photographic print accompanying this specification.
