DESIGN FOR WATCH-BRIDGES.
Specification forming part of Design No. 6,098, dated September 3, 1872.
Specification describing a Design forlVatch- Bridges, invented by JOHN LoUIs MATIIEY, of Hoboken, in the county of Hndson and State of New Jersey.
This design relates to the shape and configuration of the Watch-bridges, which shape is ornamental and also adapted to the parts of the works.
The accompanying drawing represents this design.
The central bridge a is curved, at the parts 2 and 3, from the center 4 of the spring-barrel and the arbor 5 of the balance, respectively. The bridge b for the arbor of the spring-barrel (I, and the bridge 0 for the balance, are curved from the center 7, on one side, as shown. The bracketst and 0, for the escapement wheel and lever, respectively, are of the shape represented. The shape of these bridges is such that the appearance is ornamental and the Wheels are not too much covered. The outer edge of the bridge might be shaped to conform to the plate of the watch.
