Description

QTTO KORNEMANN @Juuus JUNGBLUTH.
district tatce OTTO KORNEHANN AND JULIUS JUNGBLUTH, OF
NEW YORK, N. Y.
Design N 4,005, dated May 3, 1870.
DESIGN FOR A TRADE-MARK.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, OTTO KORNEMANN and JUL- JUS JUNGBLUTH, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Trade-Mark; and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part of this specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a trade-mark for distinguishing and identifying the true Alpine Bitters as mannfitetnred and sold by us; and
It consists in a keg or cask shown in perspective on a stand, and marked, as hereinafter more fully described.
The aceon'ipanying drawing represents the design.
A is a keg or cask supported on the stand B, both being shown in perspective, but drawn so as to give nearly a full front-end view of the keg.
O is the head of the keg;
D represents the stares; and
E the hoops.
1* represents the faucet near the bottom of the keg, for drawing off the contents.
On the head 0, the words Alpine Bitters in Roman capital letters are printed or stamped, or printed on paper, or otherwise made to appear prominently. In the former word Alpine the letters are arranged in a circle, in the latter word Bitters they are arranged in a straight line.
Between these words, on a straight line, in smaller capital letters are the words trade-mark.
The stand B is circled out front and rear, so as to inclose nearly one-half the diameter of the keg, and to fit the same, as represented, with the rear portion of the keg elevated, so as to give the keg a proper inclination for the discharge of the contents through the faucet.
The front and rear portions of the stand are connected together by a bar, G, on each side.
H is the front, and
I the rear portion of the stand.
I claim as my invention The above-described design, as a trade-mark, substantially as shown and specified.
OTTO KORNEMANN. JULIUS JUNGBLUTH. Witnesses:
G. A. BELING, H. SANDERS.
