Abstract

Date Sep. 15, 1994A solid oxide fuel cell includes a cathode, a YSZ-electrolyte, and an anode, where the cathode is formed by a mixture of LSM and YSZ. According to the invention the content in the cathode of YSZ amounts to 20 to 75% by weight, whereby it is possible to reduce the polarisation resistance to 0,08 OMEGA cm2 at 40 mV. Furthermore, a mechanically stable structure is obtained.

Description

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a circular sleeve coupling, showing our new design, as seen obliquely from the front;
FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the sleeve coupling, as seen obliquely from the back; and,
FIG. 3 is a side elevation of the sleeve coupling, the opposite side being a mirror image thereto.
