Application filed January 11, 1902. Serial No. 89,388. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, JEAN BAPrIsrE NOLIN, a subject of the King of England, residing in the city and district of Montreal, in the county of Hochelaga, Province of Quebec, Canada, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Badge; and I do declare the following to be a full, cleaigand exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
My design is made in flat form in the shape of a Greek cross a, having upon the outer end of each arm semicircular or segmental beads b. The cross is surrounded just Within its edge by a heavy and a light border (1 and 6, respectively, and the interior space within this border is. occupied by a heart f in the center of the cross, traversed by a chain of three links g, and surmounted by a fan-shaped or nament resembling the leaves of a plant, and from the center of the ornament 7L there rises a small cross 1', which is in the form of a B0- man cross, centrally located with respect to the upper limb of the large cross. The entire central ornament thus described is surmounted by a series of rays 7c, and the other three limbs of the cross not filled by said ornament afford space for any suitable motto. WVhat I claim is The design for a badge as herein shown and described.
Signed at Montreal this 8th day of January, 1902.
