UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
OTIS A. MYGATT, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
IDESIGN FOR A REFLECTOR FOR ARTIFICIAL LIGHTS.
SPECIFICATION formin part of Design No. 35,756, dated February 18, 1902*. Application filed June 3, 1901'. Serial No. 68,049- Terin of patent '7 years.
To (all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, OTIS A. MYGATT, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a certain new and useful Design for a Reflector for Artificial Lights, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
The design relates to the form or configuration and surface ornamention of a reflector for artificial lights.
The drawing shows a side elevation, partly broken away, of a reflector embodying my design.
The form of the body of the reflector is the frusturn of a hollow cone A, surmounted by a plain ring B. The outer surface of the body is practically covered by prisms 0, arranged spirally. The inner face of the reflector is smooth; but as the reflector is composed of transparent glass the ornamentation is Visible through the glass. The edge of the refiector is scalloped and beaded, as indicated at D. Y
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a transparent reflector for artificial lights, having the body in the form of a frustum of a hollow cone covered on its outside by prisms arranged spirally, the innor face being smooth, the edge scalloped and beaded, and the cone surmounted by a plain ring, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I afflx my signature in presence of two witnesses.
OTIS A. MYGATT.
