UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HENRY s. sTovALL, OF WEATHERBY, MISSOURI.
DESIGN FOR A BADGE.
SPECIFICATION forming part or Design No. 34,466, dated may 7, 1901. Application filed Ap 9, 1901- S rial No. 55,110. Tenn (5r atent 14 are.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY S. STovAnL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Weath erby, in the county of Dekalb and State of Missouri, have invented and produced a new and original-Design for a Badge; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
The said drawing is an elevation of the badge embodying this design, the leading feature of which latter is the conventional hatchet associated with the conventional trio of links.
Referring to said drawing, 1 designates the head of the hatchet.
2 designates the handle of the hatchet, which here projects horizontally from the head 1.
3 3 designate devices, such as tiny links or eyes, and 4E designates a trio of links, which by the design are supposed to be supported by the eyes 3 from the handle 2. In the design illustrated in the drawing the centerm'ost of said three links is ornamented on its face and apparently engages with or passes through the endmost links, thus producing a pleasing effect and conveying the impression that this trio of links hangs from the handle of the hatchet.
Having thus described my invention, What I claim is The design for a badge substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
HENRY S. STOVALL.
