[Application filed om 22, wool UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
\VILLIAM C. DEGELMAN, OF MANSFIELD, OHIO, ASSIGNOR TO THE HUM- PIIRYES MANVFA C'll RING COMPAN 3", OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A SOAP-HOLDER AND OVERFLOW-STRAINER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,683, dated December 1 1, 190
Application filed October 22, 1900. Serial No. 33,979. Term of patent '7 years.
To il d whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, \VILLIAM C. DEGEL- MAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Mansfield, in the county of Richland and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Soap-Holder and Overflow-Strainer to be Used on a Lavatory or \Vashbowl, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part hereof.
The drawing shows a View of my new design for a soap-holder and overliow-strainer.
As shown in the drawing, the holder is substantially square in form and is sufficiently sunken or depressed from the sides toward the center to hold conveniently a cake or piece of soap. The rim or side at the front of the holder is sufiicicntly sunken or depressed to permit the water from the soap to escape.
From the front of the holder and as a part of it there is an extension downward and a little forward, which extension is perforated with elongated openings,as shown in the drawing, for the straining and escape of the water. Through this extension and near its center, as shown in the drawing, is a hole through which it is bolted and held in place.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a soap-holder and overflowstrainer as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
\VM. 0. DEGELMAN.
Witnesses:
