DESIGN FOR A BADGE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,061, dated August 14, 1900. Application filed June 29,1900. Serial No. 22,079. Term of patent 3% years.
To @ZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM II. LYNCHARD, a citizen of the United States,residing at Council Bluffs, in the county of Pottawattaniie and State of Iowa, have invented and produceda new and original Design for Badges, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, in which- Fignre 1 is a front elevation of my badge, and Fig. 2 a vertical central section of the same.
As shown in said drawings, my design consists of a representation of the palm of a hand, as shown at A, having a scroll B running from the tip of the thumb to the tip of the little finger and adapted to receive a suitable inscription, the hand resting upon a shield C, representing the national escntcheon, and
this shield resting upon a scroll D. A garland E is supported from the hand and serves an ornamental purpose.
The essential or leading feature of my dcsign consists in the representation of a hand and scrolls arranged as shown.
