To all whom it 'may concern:

Beit known that I, SOLOMON O. SPRING, of Bristol, in the county of Hartford, and State of Couneotiout, have invented Or produeed a new and Original Design for a Clock-Oase and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable Others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the aeoolnpanying drawings, making a part of this specification, which drawings are a front elevation of my invention or production.

Similar letters of reference indicate like parts.

My invention relates only to the top of the front of a clock-Oase; and consists of four parts Of an Ootagon for forming the top, combined with a circular sash around the dial.

a a designate the two centre pieces, which are each one-eighth of an Octagon. o o designate the other two pieces, which are shorter than one-eighth of an Octagon, or shorter than the pieces do. Thus, when the whole are seoured together, they do not form quite Onehalf of an Octagon, although the angles, l, 2, 3, are the same as they would be in an Octagon.

The circular sash A, around the dial, is set with its oentre a little below the ends of pieces c o.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for a clock-case front, as herein illustrated and described.
