SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,073, dated January 2, 1900.

? Beitknown that LEMERY C. HODGES, a citi- .en of the United States, residing at Farmer ity, in the county of De VVit-t and State of IllilOlS, have invented a certain new and original Design for Corner-Stones for Burying- Lots, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to a new and original lesign for corner-stones forburyiug-lots; and he object of my invention is the provision of 1. beautiful and ornamental device for markng the corners of burying-lots to show the :xtent of the corners angle.

To attain the objects, my invention con- .ists of a marker for this purpose having new and original decorations, as fully set forth in he accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a perspective view of the marker, aken from the interior of the lot; and Fig. 2 s a similar view taken from the exterior of he lot.

Referringto the drawings, A designates one Lllll or, rather, trunk of the marker, and B desgnates the branch or limb, which is at an angle tq the trunk, the trunk and limb being :oyered with corrugations or representations )f bark C of a tree. They are further provided with knobs or knots D, which represent where branches have worn or been out ofi from the trunk and limb. At the angle upon the interior where the trunk and limb meet are the decorative leaves E, which extend from the same meeting-point upon the inside of the trunk and limb, respectively, upon the top of both, where their ends are some distance apart. Also climbing upon the top side of each are the vines or branches F, having the small leaves G branching out therefrom.

From this description, taken in connection with the drawings, it will be seen that I provide a very ornamental, original, and useful design for corner-stones for burying-lots.

\Vhat I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The design for a corner-stone [or a bu ryinglot, as herein shown and described.
