DESIGN FOR TEXTILE FABRIC.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design NO. 30,928, dated May 30, 1899.

Ap lication filed May 1, 1899. Serial No. 715,245. Term of patent 3; years.

To all whom, it may concern.-

Be it known that I, DENNIS HOWARTH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chester, in the county of Delaware, State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Textile Fabrics, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.

The drawing shows my design embodied in a fabric.

As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a group of parallel stripes diminishing in thickness from the outer edge of the group toward the centerthat is to say, the stripes on the outer edge of the group are comparatively broad, whereas each succeeding stripe is of less width than the preceding one toward the center, the center stripe being very thin. It will be seen that the showing of the back ground of the fabric increases as the thickness of the stripes decreases, thereby creating a very desirable effect and one that is very ornamental.
