DESIGN FOR A LAMP-HIMNEY FOR INCANDESCENT GAS-LIGHTS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,367, dated March 21, 1899,

To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, MAX IIERSKO vrrx, a citizen of the United States, residingat Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Lamp-Chimneys for Incandescent Gas-Lights, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawii1gs,for\ning a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a chimney, showing my new design. Fig. is a vertical sectional VlOW showing the general features thereof.
The leading characteristic features of my design are found in the unitary article made the subject oE illustration, consisting of a eylindrical body of glass A, having an astragal bead E one-tl1ird of the distance from the top down. Half an inch above the head the body is reduced in diameter a half-inch, leaving a shoulder in the form of an ogee curve C. The remaining portion extending upward is left plain. The body below the bead is finished plain downward to within a half-inch 0f the bottom, where it is slightly curved outward.
