DESIGN FOR DRESS-EDGING.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,165, dated February 7, 1899. Application filed September 30,1893- Serial No. 692,342. Term of patent '7 years.

Be it known that I, ALBRECHT Voer, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Rochester,in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented acertain new and original Design for Dress-Edging, of which the following is a specification.

The drawing, to which reference is hereby made, represents a face View, 011 an enlarged scale, of a piece of dress-edging embodying my design.

The leading features of my design consist in a dress-edging having the shape shown in the drawing and the ornamentation, also shown in the drawing, of aseries of X-shaped figures upon the body of the web of said dressedging.

In the drawing, A is the Web portion, and B is the fringe or brush portion thereof, ex-

tending from one edge of said web portion. Upon the surface of the web portion A appears the design of a series of X-shaped figures visible upon the surface of the web and formed by a series of threads 0 0 The threads (1 of the web A and the threads producing the series of X-shaped figures are of such appearances or colors or characters of material as to create a visible contrast between the threads (0 and the threads 0 0 so that each X-shaped figure is visible upon the background of the web A.

What I claim is- The design for dress-edging, substantially as herein shown and described.
