TOBIAS MILLER, OF NE\V YORK, N. Y., ASSIGNOR OF ONE-HALF TO LOUIS P. VVIIITEMAN, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A TOE-CLIP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,900, dated November 23, 1897. Application filed September 30, 1897. Serial No. 653,653. Term of patent 3%- years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, TOBIAS MILLER, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Toe-Clip; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
The leading feature of the design consists in the novel shape and configuration of the toe-clip,as shown in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a top View of a toeclip for bicycles bearing and incorporating my design. Fig. 2 is a bottom View of same. Fig. 3 is an edge View of same, and Fig. 4 is a detached section of a portion of same on the dotted line 4 4 of Fig. 3.
In the drawings, A A indicate the two side members of the clip, said members converging toward one another at their ends and on curved lines and having the raised ribs I which follow the curvature of the edges of said members.
At the top of the clip the members A A are joined together by the bar C,and thence merge into the portion D of the clip, which portion D is of the outline shown and contains the circular central panel E and openings F, said openings being of ornamental outline and disposed around said panel E, as shown in Fig. 1.
The members A A at the bottom of the clip merge into one another, as at G, and thence the bottom of the clip turns downward at right angles, forming an ear II, having a screw-hole I. At about the central portion of the bot tom of the clip is the ornamental cross-bar J.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for a toe-clip, as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
TOBIAS MILLER.
