DESIGN FOR A SHELF-TRAY.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,354, dated July 13, 1897.
Applicati fil d June 3,1897. Serial Noi 639,342. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, JAMES Osooon BRAD- LEY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Memphis, in the county of Shelby and State of Tennessee, have invented a certain new and useful Design for a Shelf-Tray; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
This invention relates to a certain new and useful design for shelf-trays, such as are designed for use upon shelves in stores and are adapted for use in storing goods in such manner as to permit of their being readily accessible.
My design is clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification, and in which Figure 1 is a perspective View of a shelftray embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a central longitudinal vertical section of the same.
Reference being had to the drawings, it will be observed that the tray embodying my design consists, essentially, of a substantially rectangular bottom plate, the said base-plate being formed upon an arc of a circle, as shown at A this curved end portion being provided with a suitable handle 15. At a point substantially one thi rd of the length of the tray, measuring from the curved end of the baseplate, is provided a Vertical wall or partition (3. The parallel sides D are of a height equal to the height of the end wall E of the tray for a distance of substantially one-half the length of the tray, measuring from the end wall E, and then the sides curve upward to the level of the upper ed ge of the wall C, and from this point the said side walls on rvedownward by a double curve as they approach the curved end of the base-plate.
\Vhat I claim to be new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a shelf-tray, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
JAMES OSGOOD BRADLEY. Witnesses:
