WILLIAM A. SEIDLER, OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, ASSIGNOR TO JOHN XV. REDDALL {X5 00., OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR BUTTON-HOOKS, 80c.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,628, dated February 16, 1897.
Application filed December 3, 1896. Serial No. 614,365- Term of patent 3% years.
To all whont it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, WILLIA A. SEIDLER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented a new and origi nal Design for a Handle for Button-Hooks or Similar Articles; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
My design has for its object to furnish a practical and at the same time ornamental external'surfaoe in a handle for button-hooks or similar articles.
The leading features in my design are as 0 follows:
In the accompanying drawings, the oblong pear-shaped handle illustrated in Figure l is formed or cast with a semicircular embossment A, following the lead of a screw-thread set at a suitable angle with regard to an axis through the centerof the symmetrical handle.
The form of the handle, as viewed in a section through line a: y of Fig. 1, can be ellip tieal, as illustrated in Fig. 2.
What I consequently claim as a novel design as applied to the above articles is The design for a handle for a button hook or a similar article as herein illustrated and described.
