Be it known that I, CHARLES HOWARD, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city, County, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and 0rigina1Design for Furnaee-Grates, of which the following is a specification.

In the accompanying drawings, Figure l is a plan View of my design for furnaee-grates. Fig. 2 is a side elevation, and Fig. 3 is a crossseotion at line CI d of Fig. 1.

Reference being had to the drawings, 1 is the grate-frame, having a central depression 2, square depression 6, and cross-bars 3.

4 are the bars of the grate, provided With side lugs 5 and square depressions G.

The leading features of my design consist 2o in the frame l, provided with depressions 6 and cross-bars 3, Whereon are the bars 4, provided with depressions 6 and lugs 5.

The design for a furnace-grate, substan- 25 tially as shown and described.
