DESIGN FOR A WATCH-PLATE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Desi gn No. 26,267, dated November 17, 1896.
Application filed September 8, 1896. Serial No. 605,194. Term of patent 14 years To (ZZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WEBSTER G. BALL, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Cleveland, county of Ouyahoga, and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for XVatch-Plates, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, and which represents a View of a Watch-plate embodying my design.
The surface of the plate A is divided into a number of narrow concentric rings a, each of which rings is traversed by minute lines a in the form of overlapping curves, each ring containing two light and two dark surfaces, each such surface having its beginning at about the right-hand side of the termination of one of thelike surfaces in the ring inwardly contiguous to it.
The illustration shows the appearance of the watch-plate when the light falls upon it at an angle of forty-five degrees, the relative size of the light to the dark surfaces varying with the variation from said angle.
Vhat I claim is- The design for a watchplate as herein shown and described.
