DESIGN FDR A BICYCLE SPOKE-WRENCH.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,954, dated August 18, 1896.
Application filed June 23 1896. Serial No. 596,658. Torin of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
lie it known that I, LEONARD 11. WtmnEN, residing at llliddlesex, in the county of Yates and State of New York, have invented a new and. useful illesign for Bicycle Spoke- VVrenches, of which the following is a specification.
This invention is a new and useful design for a bicycle spoke-wrench, the essential feature of such design being the circular or ring form of the plate and the peculiar shape of the notches cut in the periphery of such ring or circular plate.
In the drawings hereunto annexed and forming a part of this specification, Figure l is a plan view of a wrench constructed in accordance with my design. Fig. 2 is a central vertical sectional View thereof.
Reference being had to the drawings, A indicates a flat circular plate having a central circular opening ll. Around the periphery of this circular or ring shaped plate are shown a series of radial notches l, 2, 3, 4, 5, ti, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 1]. These notches are all similar in shape and have a curved bottom (1, straight sides I), the contracted portion E, and the entrance portions F.
The spaces between the faces of the notches at the entrances are all uniform, but the spaces between straight sides D vary, the spaces between the sides D of the notch 1 being greater than the spaces between the sides of the notch 52, and so on, the spaces deer asing in regular order, so that the spaces between the sides of the notch 11 is the narrowest and that between the sides of the notch 1 is the widest. The circular or ring form of plate is also dished or made concaveeonvex, as most clearly shown at Fig. 2.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design fora bicycle spokeovrench, substantially as herein shown and described.
