ALBERT O. BUCKIUS, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, ASSIGNOR TO THE NATIONAL MALLEABLE CASTINGS COMPANY, OF CLEVELAND, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A CAR-WHEEL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,192, dated April 9, 1895.
Application filed February 5, 1895. Serial No. 537.422. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ALBERT O. BUCKIUS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, Cook county, Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Car-Wheels, reference being had to the accom panying drawings, forming a part hereof.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a side elevation of my car wheel, partly in section, and Fig. 2 a sectional view, taken on line 2 of Fig. 1.
The leading features of my design consist in a cylindrical hub, flanged periphery and compound curved spokes, which, when viewed in plan view of Fig. 2, present a double concaved appearance. v
A is the cylindrical hub portion, provide with an axial opening or perforation a; B, the
folly or rim, provided with inwardly projecting annular flanges, b b, at each of the peripheral edges, and O the compound curved spokes which join the hub and rim together; and which are somewhat S-shaped in appearance when viewed in side elevation, but which are doubly concaved-as at c cwhen looked at in a plan view, as shown in Fig. *3-the whole presenting to the eye a harmonious and ornate figure, as illustrated in the drawings.
I claim The design for a car wheel herein shown and described.
