DIS-"138a OR [3230950 EX DESIGN.
J. D. MISSROON. scans PLATE.
Patented Jan. 8, 1895.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFI E.
JOHN D. MISSROQN, OF CLINTON, MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR A SCREEN-PLATE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,950, dated January 8, 1895. Application fi d December 6, 1894. Serial No- 531,049. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, J OHN D. MISSROON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Oiinton, county of \Vorcester, State of Massachusetts, have invented a. new and original Design for Perforated Screen-Plates, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
In the drawings, Figure 1 represents in perspective a perforated screen plate showing my design; and Fig. 2, is a transverse section thereof, taken on the line m-x, Fig. l.
The leading feature of my design for perforated screen plates consists in a plate having rectangular openings or perforations therein, divided into rows by straight parallel imperforate strips, the adjacent openings in one row being separated by transverse convex strips, and in the next row by transverse concave strips, the strips in one row being located opposite the perforations of the adjacent row.
In the drawings, the plate a is shown as having rectangular openings b and c therein, divided by longitudinally imperforate strips a into parallel rows. The perforations b of one row are divided by transverse strips 1) which are convex relative to the longitudinal strips a, while the transverse strips 0 separating the rows of openings 0 are concave with relation to the longitudinal strips, so that in general appearance the surface of the plate is wave-like or undulatory. The transverse strips in one row are located opposite the openings in the next adjacent row, so that the openings in two adjacent rows are staggered.
I claim The design for perforated screen plate, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
JOHN D. MISSROON.
