SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,776, dated November 6, 1894.
Application filed February 14, 1891. Serial No. 381,523. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, PETER SHAW, a subject of the Queen of Great lil'llfllll,tll(i a resident of the city of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented a certain new and original Design fora Globe, Shade, &c., of which the following is a specification.
This invention is a new and original design for hollow articles of glass were such as globt shades and like articles.
Referring to the accompanying drawings forming a part of this specification, Figure 1 is a perspective View of a globe or shade, showing my design and Fig. 2 represents a horizontal section through the lower part of the globe or shade.
My design is particularly applicable to articles of substantially hemispherical shape, and it consists of a hemispherically shaped shade, globe or similar article having on its exterior surface a series of projecting elliptic lanceolate figures having outer convex or rounded surfaces. The said figures are arranged side by side and each fignreis disposed vertically as shown in thedrawings,in which A represents the globe or shade, and 13 l indicate the elliptic lanceolate figures, projecting therefrom.
\Vhat I claim, and desire to seen re by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a globe, shade, &c., substantially as herein shown and described.
