DESIGN FOR A METAL FlNlSHlNG-PLATE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,283, dated May 22, 1894.

Ie it known that I, EnwAnn A. LSGEN- BACH, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Canton, county of Stark, State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new' Design for Finishing-Plates, of which the followingis a full, clear, and exact description, rel"- erence being had to the accompanying d rawing, making part of this specitication.
The accompanying drawing is a plan view of the design.
My design consists of a square or rectangular metallic nishing plate A, divided into sub-divisions by series oi' short br( lien or intercepted oval ribs, or upwardly projected portions u and l), extending across the plate on lines at right angles to each other, and rosettes or circular projections c, situated at a point where the ribs a and Z) would cross 1f continued, and the open space between the ends of the ribs and the rosettes. Within the square formed or outlined by the ribs a and b, are interlacing rings f, g, lr, i, having Within the circles described thereby,a raised circular portion j, a circular rib 1.1, a distance from the raised portion y', and connected therewith by the ribs Z, and the radial ribs m, projected palmately from the rib la, and increased in breadth, and circular' at their end portions. The essential feature of my design is a metallic finishing plate divided into sub-divisions by series of sectional or intercepted ribs at right angles, the circular projections e, the open space between the ends of the ribsand the raised circular portions. The interlacing rings, the palmate and the cor ner ornament, having a raised lobed body, and decreasing projected members.
