The dominant design motif common to the chair embodiments illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 8, is characterized by a box-like molded body having a cut-out therein,

Page 2 whose configuration is such that the top face of the body has a U-shaped opening whereas the front face thereof has a trapezoidal opening and the seating area which extends between the top face and the front face is so contoured as to define sloping back and side walls which merge with a concave seating recess to define an inner chair surface which generally conforms to that portion of the body of the sitter received thereby.
This application is a Continuation-in-Part of my pending application Ser. No. D. 22,288, filed Apr. 6, 1970.
