D90-20 R FIG. 1 is a perspective view, partly schematic, of a pneumatic tire tread and buttress combination embodying my new design, it being understood that the pattern is repeated throughout the circumference of the tread and buttress combination, as shown schematically by solid lines, and that the buttress pattern is repeated on the opposite side. For convenience of illustration, applicant has omitted from FIG. 1 the representation appearing in FIG. 3 which extends axially inwardly from the lower external edges of the buttress.

FIG. 2 is an enlarged, fragmentary developmental plan view of the tread and buttress combination of FIG. 1.
